Kanna
Name: Kanna (Meaning: "Godless World")
Age: 1 (Appearance: 7)
Gender: Female
Race: Demon
Weapons: Mirror
Abilities: Soul Seal, Attack Reflect, Scrying (Observing the events of the World)
Biography: Kanna is Naraku's first Incarnation, first and the most loyal. Even though knowing that she and other of Naraku's Incarnations are used just as tools to help complete Naraku's goal, Kanna never questions any order given and never showed any sign of disloyalty. Kanna is deprived of any emotions, and even if she has any, she never shows them. Due to her nature of "Nihiliti Incarnate" she gives off no scent and thus cannot be detected by anyone who is sensitive to demonic auras or scents. Because of her unusual powers and nature, Kanna is considered to be Naraku's most powerful demon.

Kagura
Name: Kagura (Meaning: "Wind User")
Age: 1 (Appearance: 18-20)
Gender: Female
Race: Demon
Weapons: Fan, Feathers
Abilities: Dance of Winds, Feather Blades, Winds of Terror, Thirsty Fan, Dance of Blades, Feather Flight
Biography: Kagura is Naraku's second incarnation and Kanna's sister. Her personality and loyalty towards Naraku completely differs from Kanna. Her main goal in her existence is to free herself from Naraku's influence. To accomplish this goal, she conspires against him in every way, including sabotaging his search for Shikon shards and at some point, helping Inuyasha and his friends in hopes that they can destroy Naraku for her. She carries the same spider 'tattoo' on her back as Naraku on her back.

Goshinki
Name: Goshinki
Age: 0,5 - 1
Gender: Male
Race: Demon
Weapons: Teeth, Claws
Abilities: Mind Reading, Extreme power and agility.
Biography: Goshinki is the third detachment of Naraku. This very large and horned demon is extremely powerful and highly agile. His teeth were even powerful enough that it broke Tetsusaiga, which, in the end, led to his very end. His mind reading abilities gave him an useful advantage in any fight. Goshinki is possibly the most powerful detachment of Naraku when it came to physical force.

Jūrōmaru
Name: Jūrōmaru
Age: 0,5 - 1
Gender: Male
Race: Demon

Abilities: Extreme speed
Biography: Juromaru is the fourth detachment of Naraku and brother of Kagerōmaru. He is quick enough to even outrun Koga (Counting the shards as well) and with the help of his brother he would possibly have the power to defeat them individualy without any larger problems. He appears a little absent minded to a certain degree.

Name: Kageromaru

Abilities: Digging, Speed
Biography: Kageromaru is the fifth detachment of Naraku and Jūrōmaru's brother. He lives inside of his brother's stomach. In the Anime, Kageromaru seems to be the only one who is able to control Jūrōmaru because Kageromaru, when his shackles were removed, immediately killed Naraku's puppet who was to watch over him. Kageromaru's digging ability, combined with his extreme speed (Possibly two times greater than Koga's), gives him an overwhelming advantage over his foes.

Muso
Name: Muso
Age: 0,5 - 1
Gender: Male
Race: Demon
Weapons: Mutated body parts - Arm
Abilities: Face Theft
Biography: Muso is the sixth detachment of Naraku and also the first known detachment that possesses it's own heart. Being born as a man without a face, Muso acquired the ability to steal the face of another. The heart he possesses is Onigumo's, he has no memory of what happened before he awakened and does not know that he is a detachment of Naraku. Muso stumbles upon a samurai group and kills them all, he finds that their faces are not really attractive and continues towards the river where he meets a monk and steals his face, since he finds it handsome. Later he meets another samurai and steals his horse and armor then he is set on a killing spree when he begins to massacre the villagers. Despite his feelings of enjoyment he finds in killing, he still feels somewhat empty inside. A feeling left behind in Onigumo's feelings for Kikyo. His name "Muso" is adopted from the priest whom he had killed and taken his face.

Akago
Name: Akago (Meaning: "Baby")
Age: 0,5 - 1
Gender: Male
Race: Demon

Abilities: Mind Reading, Mind Control
Biography: Akago is Naraku's seventh detachment and one of most important of all detachments. With the appearance of a baby, Akago carries Naraku's heart thus, making him immortal. Akago has the ability to control one's mind by bringing up the evil in that person. He can speak and think like a normal person, despite being just an infant that is, until Hakudoshi detaches from his body. Like Kagura and Hakudoshi, Akago is not loyal to Naraku but since he carries his heart, the baby is jealous of Inuyasha's feelings towards Kikyo and even tries to take control of her but his plan is thwarted by Inuyasha. Akago is given the Fyoheki stone to be hidden from the sight (respectively sense) of others. His plan was to take over Kagome's mind and use her ability to sense the lost Shikon shards but fails to do so.

- That is until Naraku's failed attempt to destroy Tetsusaiga, he orders Kanna to commit suicide by shattering herself as a final attempt to destroy Inuyasha and his friends. Before commiting the suicide, she shows a slight hint of emotion, as if she would not wish to die. In her final moments, as one of the shards from Kanna's shattered body hit Kagome's eye, Kanna shows her the light kept withing the Shikon no Tama which could ultimately lead to Naraku's destruction. And thus, in her death she commits the only act of disobedience towards Naraku.

- Later in the series, Kagura meets Kohaku and after his memories return, she becomes increasingly protective over him. She shares every information about Naraku with him and even saves him from death when Naraku sends Hakudōshi to take Kohaku's Shikon shard which keeps him alive. Finally, she openly defies Naraku by helping Kohaku escape. In the Manga series, after Kagura helps Kohaku escape, Naraku returns Kagura's heart and then fataly wounds her and leaves her to die. She seemed to happy when Sesshomaru arrived, even though she knows that his Tenseiga cannot save her. When Inuyasha and his friends arrive, watching Kagura's body dissapear into the wind, Inuyasha asks Sesshomaru if she has suffered. He replies that she died with a smile on her face.

Goshinki

- After Goshinki was defeated, Sesshomaru contacted Kaijinbō to create Tōkijin from the fangs of this powerful demon. When Tōkijin was in the hands of Kaijinbō, the swordsmith could not withstand the demonic power of the sword and was obliberated.

Jūrōmaru

Biography: Juromaru is the fourth detachment of Naraku and brother of Kagerōmaru. - When Juromaru is first shown, he is tied up inside of a carriage, wearing a retaining mask to keep his brother Kagerōmaru from showing when unwanted. Later, when fighting Inuyasha, his shackles are released, as well as the mask. In his second fight, Kagerōmaru shows up, claiming that he is the one controling Juromaru. Koga and Inuyasha have to ally to defeat him even though it seems impossible at first, they eventually defeat him.

- Whe Muso encounters Inuyasha's Group, the half-demon asks him about Naraku and his intentions. Muso replies that he has never heard about Naraku. When Inuyasha asks him for his indentity, he does not reply, simply because he canno remember. He decides to name himself Muso since he cannot recall his name. Inuyasha attacks Muso and manages to cut off his arm but Naraku's swarm regenerate it. When Inuyasha attacks again, Muso fights back with a mutated arm. Soon, Kagome arrives and as soon as Muso catches the sight of her, his memory flashes back to Kikyo. He grabs her but Inuyasha manages to free her by using the Wind Scar to kill Muso. However, his body begins to regenerate. Muso finds a cave he remembers, the cave where Onigumo swore the oath to the demons. His memories return and he swears to kill Inuyasha - later he is absorbed back into Naraku.

- Akago is split in half by a powerful monk named Shinsen when he was searching for the thin border between hell and the world of the living. One half regenerated and was given to a woman who was tricked to believe that Akago was her own baby, later she is killed by Kohaku and Kanna takes Akago to hide him. The other half transformed into Hakudoshi who eventually turned into Moryomaru.

Hakudoshi

Abilities: Barrier, Reversed Yoki, Shouki, Regeneration
Biography: Hakudoshi is Naraku's eight detachment (Respectively Akago's detachment), who was created when Akago was split in half, emerging from one of the two remnants. Taking up the form of a child around 7-8 years, Hakudoshi is the only detachment who is almost completely identical to Naraku, both with abilities and personality. Like Kagura and Akago, Hakudoshi does not grow fond of Naraku's rule and seeks to overthrow him but only to gain power instead of freedom. With Hakudoshi being created, Naraku gets into a curious position as Hakudoshi shares one heart with Naraku so he cannot be killed by physical damage so Naraku cannot destroy Hakudoshi without destroying himself along. Hakudoshi rides on the back of a horse known as Entei - The Yokai Horse which supposedly follows and respects only the most powerful Yokai. Later in the series, Hakudoshi creates a demon named Moryomaru, using different bodyparts of various demons, mixed together with the energy named Haku.

Byakuya

Biography: Byakuya is the ninth and final detachment of Naraku. He was created to replace Kagura and to observe Inuyasha and Moryomaru's growing power. He travels on a giant bird made out of the origami paper and has many unusual powers like creating illusions, entraping others in vines, possesing people with origami papers, teleport someone to another dimension, detach his own organs and creation of barriers. Unlike other detachments of Naraku, Byakuya seems to be the most loyal of them all.

- Hakudoshi tells Kagura that Naraku knows of her betrayal and will kill her soon, Kagura attacks him but as always, Hakudoshi regenerates. However, his Barrier is disabled by Naraku when Inyuasha strikes with his Wind Scar but Hakudoshi again regenerates. Miroku threatens Hakudoshi to suck him up into the wind tunnel but Hakudoshi taunts that if he would do so, he would also suck up the poisonous insect. That is when Naraku orders the insect to retreat, letting Hakudoshi knows that he completely abandons him as a punishment for his betrayal. In his last desperate act, Hakudoshi tries to create a cloud of Shouki around him to protect him while he kills Kagura, however Shouki is purified by Kagome and Miroku sucks Hakudoshi up into the wind tunnel. This all ultimately leading into Naraku's triumph above Hakudoshi and Hakudoshi's death.

Byakuya

- Byakuya is killed when he absorbs the power of Inuyasha's Meidou Zangetsuha and in return, slashing Kagome with his blade. Before striking again, Inuyasha attacks Byakuya with Meidou Zangetsuha again and this time, Byakuya is absorbed into it. After Naraku's death, a meidou appears behind Kagome as a reult of Byakuya's Meidou Blade.
